Pretty Paws Pet Photography is based on the belief that our pet customers' needs are of the utmost importance. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.
We understand the needs of elderly pets and their owners and we are more than willing to give you the time and care you and your pets deserve when we photograph your pet family. If your pet is of an unusual species, no problem, but please no insects or arachnids!
Pretty Paws' photographer, Cheryl Sutherland, is a member of the Canine Country Club in Valparaiso.
Cheryl's story...I started in photography in 1976 and fell madly in love with the whole process. Before the age of digital photography, I had my own darkroom where I processed film and printed pictures using many different techniques, enlarger filters, etc. Soon, I bought studio lighting and accessories and I was busy snapping portraits in addition to the wedding and children's photos. At this point photography was still a hobby even though I was busy attending college majoring in Communications and Photography.
Then life happened! We had a son, I started a corporate job and time for photography took a back seat. After leaving the steel industry and corporate America, I now find time to play in the field of my dreams: photography! Our love for pets has given us the opportunity to start Pretty Paws Pet Photography, LLC. Although my husband and I now share our lives with Rose and Daisy, seen here, we cherish our memories of Cheyenne, our Yellow Lab who passed away in 2004. Cheyenne truly made me the woman I am today with her never-ending love, slobbers and her ability to make me laugh.
